Quizality Video

Why this Novel?

A note on dwarfism

Below is a video that fully explains the Quizality Program in academic terms. You will quickly see our concern for Instructional Relevance. This common‑sense system is built on old‑school values that honor retention, comprehension, and mastery.

This is an academic and professional look at The General’s Drum and why it is a meaningful fit for your classroom.  This is not a typical war novel; it is a story about the people of the era — their families, their challenges, and the coming‑of‑age experiences shaped by the Civil War’s backdrop.

One of the main characters in The General’s Drum has dwarfism, and while this is not a story about dwarfism, it does play an role in shaping that character’s identity . A central point of the novel is that people should not be judged by appearance, but rather by their abilities, their character, and conduct.
